For any Shawols worried

Minho was injured while filming today, unfortunately. A piece of special effects equipment cut his face. He was taken to the ER to receive care.

I wanted to talk about this as someone with medical training so that Shawols can feel calmer and more assured:

The debris did not injure his face or any arteries. The sad truth is, our faces are rather bony compared to the rest of our bodies, so they tend to bleed a lot when cut compared to other parts of the body. The director most likely sent him to the ER as a precaution.

Additionally, in the US, cuts that need stitches are not emergency room level things, but in most Asian countries, there’s no such thing as urgent care, where it might go for an injury or illness that needs same-day care but is not an emergency. Since that’s not a thing in Korea, ER it was.

The wounds are described as abrasions, meaning at WORST he will need a couple stitches and he will be just fine.

It is not serious, and I’m sure he’ll bounce right back from this.
